The mission of UBE is to foster the potential and personal development of male and female youth (middle and high school) at risk and underrepresented in Austin and Texas statewide through educational and personal development programs and services.

Objectives:

• Promote self-sufficiency

• Prevent juvenile and female crime and recidivism

• Provide services and access to services to local and statewide low-income communities such as tutoring, literacy, computer training, career counseling and employment services, community resources, mentoring, and cultural events

• Offer a positive outlet for at-risk youth to express themselves and achieve their highest potential

• Provide mentoring to connect clients with positive role models

• Develop projects that raise cultural awareness

• Provide quality educational and personal development activities and workshops.
